Our game studio, One Way Eleven, was at Gamescom 2026 in Cologne with Hanno: A Magical Tale. Out of more than 400 submissions, the game was one of 200 selected for the prestigious Indie Arena Booth in Hall 10.2 - the largest independent space at the show.
Throughout the event our station was packed at all times. Some visitors waited up to an hour to try the playable demo, and player feedback was consistently positive: the bond between the protagonist and the little elephant Hanno, the art direction and the pacing of the adventure drew the most praise.

Even more important: among the 200 games on the floor, Hanno: A Magical Tale was picked as one of the 8 finalists for the FYNG Indie Award, the Find Your Next Game prize from German magazine GameStar. The race then ran on public voting and live streams hosted by well-known German YouTube creators - and the game made it to the final.
It is the most significant international showing in the studio's history, and a clear validation of the path we have taken: independent game production made in Madeira, with global ambition.
You can follow development and wishlist the game on its Steam page or at the One Way Eleven site.
