WOW Systems had the pleasure of designing and developing the brand new digital ecosystem for Transportes Colectivos do Barreiro (TCB) - one of Portugal's historic public transport operators, serving the community since 1957.

The project encompassed the complete redesign of the tcbarreiro.pt website and the development of the TCB - Mobilidade Sustentável mobile application, available on the App Store and Google Play

The Website

The new website features a modern, accessible interface with TCB's signature green identity. Key features include a real-time trip planner, interactive maps, timetables, fare information, and a live bus tracking system. The design follows the motto: "Por si. Por todos. Queremos ir mais longe." (For you. For everyone. We want to go further.)

The Mobile App

The TCB mobile app brings the full transit experience to passengers' fingertips:

Real-time tracking - see bus positions on the map, routes being operated, and estimated arrival times
Trip planning - plan your journey with origin, destination, date and time
Timetables - access all routes and schedules
Turn-by-turn navigation - detailed walking directions to stops
Fare information -view all ticket types and pricing
Alerts & notifications —-stay informed about service changes

WOW also developed a unique AI WhatsApp Chatbot that allows clients to interact quickly with TCB services and search contents.

The app has already received excellent reviews on the App Store, rated 4.5 out of 5 stars.
